Phil Nicoletti to Canada in 2025? Hold On a Minute…

As many heard on the Pulp MX Show with Steve Matthes, it was mentioned that Phil Nicoletti was returning to Canada for the 2025 Canadian Triple Crown Series Motocross Nationals. Well, hold on a minute because things are definitely not that cut and dry. In fact, there are so many moving parts at the moment that it’s difficult to say what the series will even look like when the gate drops next season and this is why we haven’t said anything to this point.

It’s true that Phil has been talking with the gang over at WLTN Kawasaki. What you may not realize is that these talks have been going on since before the final round of the 2024 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series in Salt Lake City last May.

At this point, Phil’s name is just one of many that are being tossed around for possibly filling the seats over at the green team. A big part of the draw for Phil would be to work with Steve Simms again, too, so that is a major part of the deal, we’re told.

Dylan Walsh, Cole Thompson, Tyler Medaglia, Cullin Park, Adrien Malaval, and last year’s 250 rider Quinn Amyotte have all expressed interest.

Phil took out an insurance policy on himself last time he was in Canada and did very well with it. Right now, nothing can be done because we still don’t have a finalized series for 2025. Once that is done the rest of the pieces can start falling into place.

We’ve heard it’s possible we could only be out west for 2 rounds and that there’s even a chance we could only see 6 rounds total in 2025. I don’t think that’s likely to happen, but it’s questions like these that are forcing teams to hold off making any final roster decisions because it will affect the payment structure.

So, we need a schedule before more moves are announced. We’ll let you know when things get finalized, but, as of now, it’s all still just speculation and rumours.
