Who/what inspired you to get onto a dirt bike and how long have you been racing/riding?

My dad got me into dirt biking. I started riding when I was 3 and I am going on my 4th year racing .

When not on a dirt bike how do you keep yourself busy? Are you involved in any other sports or extracurricular activities?

I hangout with friends or family. Also, I help my dad work on the bikes . I don’t have much interest in anything else .

From your first ride to where you are now what is something you never thought you would be able to overcome but have?

When I first started I never would have thought I would be able to hit jumps like I do now!

Who is your all-time favourite rider and why?

My dad! He’s my favourite rider because he got me into dirt bikes and racing. He’s also fast!

What is your favourite track and why?

My favourite track is Swiona. I really like that track because I’m good there and it’s a good 65 track .

Who has been your biggest inspiration/hero on and off the track?

My dad!

Olivia’s favourite track is Swiona. | Dad photo

Do you have any pre-race rituals?

Probably listening to my dad telling me what to do.

What are your plans for this upcoming season? Any specific events you’re looking forward to?

Plans for this year are to start riding all the big tracks and place well. I like any race event we can camp at.

What are your biggest accomplishments to date?

My biggest accomplishments would be this past year I won my 50 class then moved up to a 65 and won that class too.

What is the biggest lesson that racing has taught you so far?

Never give up !

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Faster than my dad and on a supermini.

What kind of track/dirt/terrain do you feel you excel at most and why?

I like riding when it’s softer dirt and gets rutted up .

If you could give 1 piece of advice to a female of any age who wants to start riding what would it be?

It’s really fun, especially when you beat the boys!

What was your first fear when you started riding and how did you overcome it?

My biggest fear was riding in the mud. I was scared to fall. I got over it by seeing others making it through.

Let’s keep an eye on Olivia as she works her way up through the ranks. | Dad photo

What was your first race number and how did you choose it?

My race number was and is 23. I picked it because that’s my birthday.

Do you see yourself ever competing in the Canadian WMX Triple Crown Series?

Not anytime soon as I’m still young, but hopefully one day .

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be a teacher so I have weekends and summers off to race.

Who would you like to thank?

I’d like to thank my mom and dad for always supporting me and giving me the chance to race and my sister Haidyn for always cheering me on.

Also, my first year with some support for my racing. I’d like to thank Hudson’s motorcycle, Craves Poutinerie, Edge to Edge saw-milling.
