Who/what inspired you to get into the sport of motocross and how long have you been racing/riding?
When I first started racing mx I came from a BMX background. I didn’t have anyone that really inspired me. I went to a Supercross race and fell in love. I got my first dirt bike, a CRF110, in February of 2023 and then my 85 in June of 2023, so about a year now.
When not on a dirt bike how do you keep yourself busy? Are you involved in any other sports or extracurricular activities?
When I’m not on my dirt bike I’m usually on my Talaria MX4 riding trails and exploring the local hills.
As a racer, are there any obstacles you feel a female racer has to deal with that maybe a male racer does not?
As a female racer I feel we don’t get the same respect as a male. We have to get out there and really push ourselves to podium to get the respect we deserve. And it’s really fun beating the boys!
From your first ride to where you are now, what is something you never thought you would be able to overcome but have?
When I first started I think jumping was my biggest obstacle and I’d get scared and back down. Now I have the courage to just send it!
Who is your all-time favourite rider and why?
My all-time favorite rider is Vicki Golden. She’s been a big inspiration to me from the time I attended her Over and Out clinic at Fox Raceway and she and Becca Trout helped me so much.
What is your favourite track and why?
My favorite track is Lake Elsinore MX Park. I love the layouts and everyone there is so nice and welcoming. Uncle Chuck and Bert run the track and always help me.
What event do you look forward to most every year?
I always look forward to the 2-Stroke Nationals at Glen Helen.
Who has been your biggest inspiration/hero on and off the track?
Definitely my dad has been my biggest hero. He goes above and beyond to make sure I get practice and training and makes sure my bike and gear are race ready. He’s always been my hero.
What are your biggest accomplishments to date?
My biggest accomplishments to now are when I won the overall championship and red plate at the Mini Rippers series. Also, I just got my first win in the SWAP Moto series and now I’m currently 1st in points.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years I’m hoping to turn Women’s Pro and race nationally.
If you could give 1 piece of advice to a female of any age who wants to start riding what would it be?
I would say don’t let anyone discourage you or listen to any negativity. Have fun, be yourself and ride at your own pace.
What was your first fear when you started riding and how did you overcome it?
My first fear was always jumping. My dad always encouraged me to try and go a little farther every jump at a comfortable pace till I finally started clearing them. I overcame my fear strictly by determination.
What was your first race number and how did you choose it?
My first race number was 333 and it will probably always be my race number. It’s an angel number and I feel protected on the track.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I grow up I’d like to be a part-time professional hair stylist and a full-time professional MX racer!
Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank Matt Gilbert of Factory Minibikes for all the help he has given me and sponsoring me from day one, Onium goggles for getting me the best eye protection out there, Fasthouse gear, Tim Ritson of Mayhem Racing for keeping my bike running in tip top shape, Chris Panek at Thrive MX academy for being my first trainer, Brook Whipple for all her training, and of course my dad for always being my biggest supporter and always coming through for me. Love you, Dad!
