Who got you into the sport of motocross?

My mom got me my first bike, probably when I was about 7 years old. From that time we always went out off-road riding every weekend. So, I’ve been riding most of my life and around 2021 I took part in a riding school at Wild Rose Motocross Association. That’s when my love for motocross started, and It hasn’t stopped since!

As a racer, are there any obstacles you feel a female racer has to deal with that maybe a male rider does not?

When you think about it, male riders can be physically and mentally stronger when it comes to racing, whether that’s different parts of the track or just the mentality you need to accomplish goals. They seem to get there before me which eventually gets in my head making me think I need to get in the right place to have a chance to compete against them.

From your first ride to where you are now what is something you never thought you would be able to overcome but have?

I first started off on a CRF 70 riding off-road just for fun to get outside and ride my dirt bike. Now as I’m on bike bikes I never thought of myself getting this far in this sport. By “far” I mean accomplishing different skills on the track, riding different bikes, now traveling down south for certain races and seat time during the winter, and racing different series all summer long. We had lots of first times this year and this is just the beginning of the journey.

What event do you look forward to most every year? What’s one you don’t ever want to miss?

June 2023 I started racing the WMX Nationals with Triple Crown Series. Even though I didn’t have the best results, I’m super excited to grow throughout the years racing with the big girls! As well as the Fall & Spring Super Series in Calgary. It’s definitely something to look forward to, just being at home on home tracks with friends and family able to come watch!

Who has been your biggest inspiration/hero on and off the track?

There are many people that have helped me with starting riding or helping me to this day. On June 15, 2021 Mitch took me on as a rider for his company IRIDE SUPPLEMENTS and I have been with him ever since. Mitch has an amazing personality, is an amazing rider himself, and is always willing to give a helping hand with any problems or questions you may have. Danika White with SURFINBERMS is truly a role model in this sport, the girls and ladies she has brought into this sport are unbelievable. She really shows us what it’s all about.

Tell us about your 2024 race season.

My 2024 race season was one to remember for sure, so many big steps taken which definitely helps out! At the start of the year I just got back from California where my season started with, of course, the Super Series in Calgary. After that started, the ACM series where I went 2-2 in Ladies Intermediate and 1-1 in 250B!  Nationals came around racing round 1 in Calgary and round 2 in Lethbridge after the week of WCAN. We traveled down to do one of our first races at Washougal, a challenging track that makes it worth going to!  Being gone weeks at a time riding my dirt bike 24/7 is what makes me happiest. Then finishing our outdoor season off with the Fall Super Series in Calgary moving up to my first race in 250 Junior going 16-18 and 2-3 in Ladies A! Super proud of my riding but I’m ready for 2025.

Have you ever competed in the Triple Crown WMX Series? What are your thoughts?

2023 and 2024 I competed against the fastest women in Canada. Man, are they ever fast! These races are challenging – the track conditions, long motos, and fast racers really make it hard knowing I’m not at the top, but that could be me one day. I encourage you ladies to get out there and fill the gates. It’s really a great experience. Let’s go for 2025!!

What do you like to do in the off season?

After the outdoor season is officially over we take a little bit of a break. Like, this October I had some hardware removed from my femur from previous injuries, which gave us some time to plan, since we knew when I’d be able to get back riding. We knew Arenacross season is starting soon, so we are headed down to Chilliwack, BC to race AMO Arenacross in the barns for the second time! Really looking forward to that. After that we are going to start planning on what our winter is going to look like and where we are headed to get some training.

Who would you like to thank?

I would like to thank my mom, grandparents, and all my family back in PEI for supporting my racing these past few years, Iride Supplements, Risk Racing Moto, Surfin Berms, Sosa Original, Protection By Michelle, Brennan Consulting, Fox Racing, my girls with Team Smile, Mikron Automation, and everyone else behind me supporting me!
