How did you get started in racing?
I always loved motocross. I finally dated a guy who took the time to teach me and fell in love with racing.
As a little girl, did you ever expect to be this deep into a sport like motocross?
I’m very competitive and passionate in everything I do, if I do something I do it 110%. So, yes (Laughs).
Do you think motocross is harder for a female to compete in?
Not necessarily harder, just more obstacles to over come. “She’s fast for a girl” is about the worst thing you can say to a female rider.
Who is your favourite rider and why?
Currently, Weston Peick. Last year during Monster Energy Supercross he broke his foot. He got surgery and a pin put in on Tuesday and tried to race that weekend. Someone with that much commitment and grit is what makes a racer great.
Is there one lady racer out there that you think has paved the way for other girls to be successful in the sport?
Jessica Patterson. She raced with the boys on a national level and showed what talent and passion can give a female in this sport.
What is your favourite track and why?
WW Motocross Park in Jacksonville, FL. It is my home track. Junior is working very hard to give us a us one of the best tracks in the country.
Who is your hero?
My dad. He has given me so much and showed me what faith in God, hard work, and family values can do in your life.
What are your goals for this season?
I want a top 5 overall in every series I race and qualify in the +30 class at Thor Winter Olympics.
What are your biggest accomplishments?
Being able to juggle running my own business and race on a national level.
What is your favourite part about going to the races?
My moto family! I love the feeling off the gate, no question, but being with moto family is special.
What do you like to do when you aren’t racing?
If I’m not at the track, I’m usually at the beach. I can’t go long with out being by the ocean!
Is it important to have a motocross racer as a boyfriend/partner, or just a bonus?
It is important to have a man in your life that competes and understands the demands brought by racing. It is long hours in the gym or shop, not all fun times and partying.
If you ever have children, will they be motocross racers?
I hope so! I won’t ever force my kids to do something they don’t want to do, but I hope they love racing.
Who do you want to thank?
I would like to thank TiLube, Factory Connection, Hinson, FMF, Works Connection, BTO Sports, ODI, Ogio, GoPro, LifeProof, Legacy Oaks Ltd, 100%, Ogio, MotoConcepts, DT1, the main man upstairs, and everyone else who has made my racing possible! Thank you DMX for choosing me as an ‘Out of The Blue’ featured rider.
