Who/what inspired you to get onto a dirt bike and how long have you been racing/riding?
My dad was a huge inspiration for me and my brother to start riding. We watched him from a young age ride and he had me on a little Honda 50 when I was around 4 years old.
From your first ride to where you are now what is something you never thought you would be able to overcome but have?
I never put limitations on what I couldn’t do, my parents always preached a positive mindset – you can do anything you put your mind to!
Who is your all-time favourite rider and why?
My brother (Deagan Gibney). He started racing before I got into bikes and he always made it look so effortless and I loved his riding style. I also look up to Eve Brodeur.
What event do you look forward to most every year? What’s one you don’t ever want to miss?
Walton, because the track is epic and they do a great job with all of the activities throughout the week there.
What are your plans for this upcoming season? Any specific events you’re looking forward to?
This year I will hopping on my brand new KTM 250 thanks to KTM Canada for the help! I will be riding in the Ladies class and will be trying to qualify to make it to Walton.
What are your biggest accomplishments to date?
I have only been racing for three years and I have won two championships in the Girls (9-16) class in the Future West Moto series.
What is the biggest lesson that racing has taught you so far?
To never give up. Injuries happen, bad motos happen, but you just have to believe in yourself and stay strong.
What was your first race number and how did you choose it?
19! It was my dad’s race number and my little brother’s race number.
Do you see yourself ever competing in the Canadian WMX Triple Crown series? Or have you competed in the WMX Triple Crown Series? What are your thoughts on the series?
Yes, one of my goals is to race the WMX Triple Crown series, once I get comfortable on the 250.
Who would you like to thank?
Holeshot Motorsports, KTM Canada, FXR Racing, Spy Optic, my parents and brother, my grandparents, and everyone else who supports me back home.
