Who/what inspired you to get into the sport of motocross and how long have you been racing/riding?
My step father Scott introduced me to the sport, first through riding for fun travelling around from our local track to eventually racing the provincial series. I started on a Honda 50 like so many other kids.
As a racer, are there any obstacles you feel a female racer has to deal with that maybe a male racer does not?
While the sport is growing fast for us girls / ladies, I do feel from time to time there are more options for the boys. Although there seems to be more and more girls getting into it which is a good thing.
From your first ride to where you are now what is something you never thought you would be able to overcome but have?
I remember being on a 65 and watching my older brother flying through the air. I never thought I would be flying through the air on a Supermini, but here we are. It’s nice having older siblings that ride, except they think it’s funny to run me high in a corner during practice.
Who is your all-time favourite rider and why?
Thats easy, Jett Lawrence. I mean look at him! lol. Plus he’s pretty good on a bike.
What is your favourite track and why?
Definitely, Sand Del Lee. I grew up from day one riding a local sand track, deep endless sand, so it’s just second nature to me to go fast in the sand. It always gave me an edge when we would head east for those rounds, although as the competition has gotten better, that advantage has disappeared.
What are your plans for this upcoming season? Any specific events you’re looking forward to?
Well, I’m really excited to do ECAN and TransCan. Our family has missed it over the last couple years with my brother being injured, but I believe ’25 will be the year for us.
What are your biggest accomplishments to date?
I’ve brought home a wall full of plaques from racing and I’m currently sitting in 2nd in the OPC for Ladies B and 4th in Girls (9-16), so feeling pretty proud of that. I also got the Donald R. Bush Memorial Educational award in our local series and The Positivity award at AMO.
If you ever have children will you give them the option to race as well?
There is no option, my kids will be racers. lol
What was your first fear when you started riding and how did you overcome it?
I used to be so scared to race, my step dad would pay me 10 dollars to go out and race. Before I knew it, I loved moto, especially my starts.
Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank the continued support of OGs, FXR, St. Onge bike shop, HMX training, Motolife MX training, my family, and all my friends that video my holeshots.
