Who/what inspired you to get into riding and how long have you been racing?

My dad rode when he was growing up, so it was something he gave me the chance to try when I was about two years old, and I’ve been racing since I was 8.

When not on a dirt bike how do you keep yourself busy?

Well, I’m usually on a bike all summer and try to get down to Florida before spring, but in between that I just focus on school/work/gym.

As a racer, are there any obstacles you feel a female racer has to deal with that maybe a male racer does not?

Honestly, I can’t think of much, maybe the guys grow a little bit taller or have more opportunity to get on a race team.

Who is your all-time favourite rider and why?

I would say it’s Colton Facciotti. I rode at GDR a lot when I was younger and I had the chance to see the work put in from him and the team. I also liked the way he was on and off track.

What is your favourite track and why?

It’s a mix between GDR and Walton Raceway. I like the sand at Gopher but I also like Walton’s ruts and layout.

What event do you look forward to most every year? What’s one you don’t ever want to miss?

Walton TransCan. I always have a great time on and off track when I’m there.

What are your biggest accomplishments to date?

3x Walton TransCan Girls (9-16) champion, first girl to win a Supermini overall/race at AMO/MPC, and I can do a cartwheel. Lol

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully, on a race team with a few WMX championships or to do two cartwheels. Lol.

Eve Brodeur is someone Brandy looks up to. | Bigwave photo

Are there any females out there who you feel have paved the way for other girls to be successful in motocross?

I definitely feel like Eve Brodeur has. She is a very talented rider and is very well spoken off-track and is someone I look up.

If you ever have children will you give them the option to race as well?

Definitely. I will probably be a crazy 50 mom, to be honest.

What was your first race number and how did you choose it?

It was #2. I stole it from my dad but he says he got it from Ryan Villopoto.

Do you see yourself ever competing in the Canadian WMX Triple Crown series? Or have you competed in the WMX Triple Crown Series? What are your thoughts on the series?

100%. I did the national at Gopher Dunes this year and had a blast, so I definitely want to do more of them. I think the WMX series is the one you will have the fastest women at in Canada which is always good competition.

Who would you like to thank?

My dad and mom and family
