How did you get started in racing?
My dad bought me my first bike for my 4th birthday and I started riding. I rode trails and fields with my dad, and watched a few races at Gopher Dunes. After that I was hooked and entered my first race at 9. I competed in TVR till 85’s then raced my first CMRC and did well, so the following year I raced the ANQs. After that, all I wanted to do was race.

What is your favourite track and why?
Gopher Dunes because it’s my home track and it fits my style. I like when it gets rough and technical. The track flows really good, it’s always prepped very well, and it has some fun jumps. Nothing beats railing a sand berm!

Who is your favourite rider and why?
Justin Bogle would be my favourite rider because he has such unique and interesting style, he treats everyone with so much respect, and always surprises people with his finishes because he is very humble and stays under the radar. Bogle also has fun outside of motocross which I think helps with his riding. He’s a really good rapper and has really good style off the track.

What Canadian Pro do you look up to and why?
I look up to Cole Thompson because he is one of the few to go over to Supercross and represent Canada, and he is very humble and has such smooth style.

Who is your hero?
My hero would be a tie with my mom and dad because they both work so hard to help me accomplish my goals, they keep my on track and have taught me how important school is. My parents do a lot for me to race every weekend and I know they will always support me. I have looked up to my dad since I was little because he taught me a lot with riding, and how to get faster also this year they both have pushed me on the fitness side of riding, and I feel like that is going to play a big role this year.

“My favourite part about going to the races is seeing all my close friends and how my normal life (school) gets blocked out and that feeling in my stomach the whole weekend, nothing is better than that!” – Kassie Boone photo supplied by Seth

What are your goals for this season, and what is it going to take to reach them?
This off-season I have worked on my fitness, I plan to get a new bike for this year, I would like to contend for podiums in the opening races, then, after schools done, work with the FrankFit crew until Walton and top 5 in both MX2 Jr. and Schoolboy at Walton at TransCan. Then race the arenacross series and contend for podiums. This year I want to be up front every weekend and be the best I can be.

What are your biggest accomplishments?
My biggest accomplishments would be: The Gopher Dunes Sandstorm last season, my first moto in MX2 Jr. I went down the the first corner and worked my way up to 11th. The next moto I got a really good start and ended up winning the moto. I was super-happy because I put the negatives aside and just tried my best. I also was happy with my finish at the London Arenacross. I didn’t know what to expect because that was my first time riding AX, and I got 5th in the Schoolboy Main Event.
What is your favourite part about going to the races?
My favourite part about going to the races is seeing all my close friends and how my normal life (school) gets blocked out and that feeling in my stomach the whole weekend, nothing is better than that! Also, when your gearing up for practice and you know that you have a great day of racing ahead.

What do you like to do when you aren’t racing?
When I’m not racing I ride my mountain bike, work at Tim’s, go to the gym, and I go to school full-time, and mostly hangout with all my friends from the track. I also enjoy following rap music, and watching Pro SX/MX every weekend.
Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank my whole family, Mckees, Triple S Graphics, Gopher Dunes, The Schuster family, all my close friends, Topher Ingalls for being such a nice guy to me when he was here in Canada and Direct Motocross for the interview!
