How did you get started in racing?
My first bike was an XR80 that I got when I was 8 years old. I kept blowing the shocks out of it from jumping, so my dad bought me a KX65. My first race was with TVR at Gopher Dunes. I came in 2nd and I have been hooked ever since.
What is your favourite track and why?
In Canada, I like Motopark and Walton. They are fast tracks and and I like ruts. In the U.S., I like Hogback Hill and Monster Mountain.
Who is your favourite rider and why?
My favourite rider is Cooper Webb. I like his aggressive riding style.
What Canadian Pro do you look up to and why?
Dylan Wright is a Canadian rider I look up to. I like his riding style and his attitude on and off the track. One of my favourite quotes from him is, “I like to win, but I hate to lose more.”
Who is your hero?
My dad is my hero. I am grateful for everything he does for me, for all the support and encouragement he gives me.
What are your goals for this season and what is it going to take to reach them?
My goal is to ride smooth and consistent and to make the podium each week. I would also like to be one of the top 5 Intermediate riders at TransCan. Over the winter, I will continue to train in the gym and hopefully go down south to get some riding in.
What are your biggest accomplishments?
My accomplishments this year was attending for the first time, The Walton TransCan where I finished 6th in Schoolboy and 7th in MX2. I attended the Madoc Nationals making the podium a couple of times and finishing 3rd overall in the 250 Int. and 4th in Open Int. I received the AMO Rising Star Award and finished the Madskills Series with a 2nd in Schoolboy 2 and 250 Int.
What is your favourite part of going to the races?
The best part of going to the races is being able to hang out with your friends that you only see at the races. I like going to the races because I like to compete and the adrenaline rush you get from racing.
What do you like to do when you aren’t racing?
When I am not at the track, I like to skateboard, pit bike, workout, listen to music and hang out with friends.
Who would you like to thank?
I first have to thank my mom and dad for all that they do for me, without them I would not be able to do the sport that I love. I would like to thank FXR Racing, Rob from Real Deal MX, Bill Burr from B-Tec, Pete Hill and my Uncle Cliff for all their support and encouragement.
