Monday Morning Coffee
By Billy Rainford
This Monday Morning Coffee is coming to you from the seaside Compass Cove Hotel in beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC. I’m going to have to hurry through this one so we can hit the road and get home in time to head out to BC for the final 2 rounds of the Future West Moto Canadian Arenacross Championships. Cycle North FXR Honda rider Roscoe Johnson is in the driver’s seat again and the field of Pro riders is very deep this year. Here’s a quick look at some of the results etc. from this past weekend.

Canadian Arenacross Championships Results and Point Standings
We’re going to hit the road soon and finish off this trip north. From here it gets pretty boring, to say the least. As soon as we leave the coast we are in for a snoozer. Have a great week and watch for the full results and coverage of how our Canadians fared at the 2015 Mini O’s. There were some really solid performances, last week!

Dylan Kaelin Injured
When it rains it pours for poor Dylan Kaelin. After missing last season due to yet another knee injury, Kaelin got back on the bike to race the Future West Moto Arenacross out in Chilliwack, BC last weekend. We have learned on social media that Dylan crashed and took his handlebars in the stomach causing enough damage that he required surgery.
At this point, we haven’t been in touch with Dylan, directly, so this is all we can say. We will be sure to contact Dylan as soon as we can.
Get well soon, Dylan.
Jimmy Decotis Wins in Australia
Top Mini O’s Results (w/ Canadians near the top)
We’ll have a full rundown of how all the Canadians did at the 44th Annual Thor Winter Olympics as soon as we get home…
We’ve been taking our time getting back to Canada after a long week at the Mini O’s. So far, we’ve spent time in Savannah, GA, Charleston, SC, and now Myrtle Beach, SC. These are all places I’d normally just cruise past on times when I’d head back up the eastern route from Florida. We decided to take a little break and check them out more closely this time, and we’ have been pretty impressed with all three of these places.
First stop was Savannah, GA. This is the actual park where Forest Gump sits on the bench and tells his stories. Apparently, the actual bench has been moved over to city hall.
You have to leave the main highway to see Charleston, SC, but it was a pretty cool little place to visit. There is a ton of history in these places along the south-eastern coast.
15 minutes from downtown Charleston is Folly Beach where the waves were pretty small but were actually very clean. There were some 25-30-second rides for some of the better surfers.
We’ve ended up in Myrtle Beach for the night and this is the sunrise we woke up to. Myrtle Beach is basically Daytona but would be a lot of fun in busy times, I’m sure. It’s the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend here, so the price for a beachfront room plummeted. There are 2 lazy rivers here at this hotel! Lazy rivers!
