1st Dakota Alix (1-4): Dakota is a great addition to our MX2 class. Before the season, I heard rumours that he was possibly coming up for KTM Canada.Well, I really hope they bring him up for 2017 to fill Cole Thompson’s MX2 spot. He’s got all of the tools to compete for a championship, I just think the fitness could get a tiny bit better.
2nd Dylan Wright (3-2): Dylan has been riding great lately. He’s coming into his own. This is one guy to watch for next week as we head back to the sand.
3rd Cole Thompson (6-1): Cole had some trouble in moto1, but he’s still the fastest in the class, and this is still his championship to lose. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Thompson win the remainder of the motos, he’s that good and that smooth.
4th Mark Worth (4-3): Mark was much better this week. I’d really like to see him holeshot and set his own pace for a bit. The guy has a ton of speed and talent and is doing a fantastic job filling in.
5th Shawn Maffenbeier (2-8): Shawn is going to give you everything he has, every time on the track. He’s down quite a few points to Thompson, but he’s still going to keep busting his butt until it’s over. Weird not seeing him on the podium for an overall.
6th Brad Nauditt (5-5): Brad holding off Thompson in moto 1 was impressive, considering how banged up he is. Brad is do for a few holeshots and should lead a few laps soon.
7th Jess Pettis (7-6): I’d like to see Jess closer to the top 5, but still not a terrible day. He led last year at Deschambault, so I’m willing to bet he will be much closer to the podium this coming weekend.
8th Ryeley Gallup (10-7): I’m glad Ryeley was able to come East. He really caught my eye in Calgary. It looks like he’s having a lot of fun on the bike, and that’s what it is all about.
9th Hayden Halstead (8-9): This is where Halstead should be every week. I was kind of worried about him moving to the 250f, considering he had never raced one before. I think it was a good choice and he looks good on the small bike.
10th Westen Wrozyna (11-10): Westen is having a very good East. I think he needs to ride with faster riders in the pre-season, and that will help get him into that 6th-9th place. Good to see him finish out the East.
Biggest Stud: Dakota Alix gets stud status this week. I just wish he started the series back in Kamloops.
Biggest Dud: Why are there not any Suzuki’s in the field?
Biggest Surprise: Why isn’t anyone riding yellow?
