Welcome to Week #10 of the DMX Frid’Eh Update brought to you by Dirt Care. This week finds me making my way north from Daytona, Florida, to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, for Round 10 of the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series.

I’m currently pulled over just inside the Tennessee border at a Rest Area/Welcome Centre. I just had a great conversation with this week’s honouree, Keylan Meston. I always look forward to our conversations. Normally, they’re mostly moto talk with some life stuff thrown in there for fun. This time, since Keylan is bringing his Pro Racing career to a close, it was heavy on the life stuff and a little lighter on the moto content. I think you’ll enjoy this chat.

Keylan raced the first 3 rounds of the 2024 Canadian Triple Crown Series at Calgary, Lethbridge, and Manitoba, going 9-9-13. We started the conversation talking about that and went from there. I scribbled down a bunch of competely unrelated questions for Keylan.

It’s a long chat, so there was no way I was going to type it out or use one of those transcription programs that you always have to edit for hours anyway. If you’re in the garage working on bikes or in the car for a long drive, this one should keep you interested.

I stopped in at GPF to check out some of our Canadians who are training there. I shot a bunch of photos and video that I’ll still need to get to once I’m home on Sunday afternoon. I did manage to get a video with Red Bull KTM Canada 250 rider Dylan Rempel up on our YouTube channel and socials:

My plan was to make it to the Nashville Jam Company for a late brunch on my way through, but it looks like I’ve missed the cut off. They close at 3pm. It was literally the best breakfast I’ve ever had…and I spend a lot of time in breakfast joints! Emily will be disappointed when I tell her I didn’t go. She was with me last time and neither of us couldn’t believe it.

The Indy Supercross will be an East/West Showdown, so I’m looking forward to seeing all the guys lined up against each other, including Canadians #61 Cole Thompson and #800 Preston Masciangelo in the 250 class.

Unfortunately, my stop at GPF made it so I was unable to make it to Indy in time for Friday’s Press Day, but I’m happy with the trade off. I’d better get back on the road and see if I can get through Nashville before rush hour starts. Actually, I think I’m already screwed…AND I won’t get brunch!
