This week’s photo coverage is brought to you by RTR Performance in Kamloops, BC. Be sure to stop in and say hello on your way back through.
It’s been a long off-season away from doing ‘Faces at the Races‘ in Canada. These columns are always my favourite to work on. Capturing a moment of emotion always puts a smile on my face. Thanks to Clayton Racicot for taking some great shots for us. Here’s another look at round 1 from Whispering Pines in Kamloops, BC.

Suspension gurus like Graeme Brough were busy in Kamloops.
I don’t think anyone likes applying graphics, do they?
Mike Haist (left) is another suspension guy who worked a full shift Sunday.
Bob Cobb…er, I mean, Brett Metcalfe gets himself in the zone. (Google it, Bowker!)
This young guy just bleeds green! It’s all he wanted to talk about.
Michael Da Silva and Dylan Schmoke at the riders’ meeting.
A very happy Medaglia family.
Both brothers landed on the podium Sunday. That doesn’t happen very often!
Brett Metcalfe just calmly and quietly goes about his business.
Tyler Medaglia after his 2nd place moto 2 finish and 3rd place podium visit.
Mike Haist came directly to the finish area to discuss suspension with both Goerke and Metcalfe.
Here is some love for the mechanics/man-friends…
Husqvarna Canada’s Victoria Hett.
Ron Peters made the move out from the Winnipeg area and now calls Vernon home while working for FXR. Pretty sweet location change, Ron.
Mike Earle set this shot up and I just snaked my way in. Thanks, Mike.
You have to save some champagne for your mechanic to…spray.
Another of my favourite things to do is take pit board shots. Here are a few…
But they sold him the whole seat! (Sorry, had to.)
Chocolate or strawberry? Do they still sell strawberry?
With a hair do like mine, I can really appreciate what Brad Nauditt has going on here.
Morgan Burger keeping it real.
The new gate flag process.
Jimmy Decotis called himself out and said, “Midget problems.”
6D guys.
Trevor Cerny keeping a sharp eye on things for his rider.
Shawn Maffenbeier with a little gate work. How does everyone like his new haircut? Looking good, Shawn!
Yes, I see her over there, Jimmy…
Mike Smith is happy to be back at the races this summer. Thanks for looking, and see you in Nanaimo!
